Welcome to our club news page for season 2011-12

The Under 8s team recently visited the Bloods ground to act as "guard of honour".

Here are some pictures from the day…

Sunday 6th May

Under 10’s played an 11v11 game today at Home v Cheadle and Gatley, the boys had a comfy 6-2 win against a well organised C & G side.

Under 14’s were away today against league champions Hazel Grove and won with a healthy 7-1 result, Jesse bagging another three to take his hat trick tally for the season to nine.

Under 16’s friendly at home to 2nd div toppers West End Boys, saw the boys take a deserved 2-1 win

Sunday 29th April

Under 9’s,   Were at home to Stockport Vikings and lost both games 4-3 & 2-1,  Under 14’s,   were away to New Mills in a game where we needed a must win to secure runners up spot, unfortunately this wasn’t the case and the young Bloods went down 2-0 leaving the gap between themselves and their rivals insurmountable, even a win in their last game next week against the champions would see the bloods 1 point short of automatic promotion.

Under18’s  The boys took on the Champions today in their last of the season and managed a 1-1 draw, Droylsden did create the better of the chances and were unlucky not to take all the points on a wet and windy Lewis Rd.

Good luck to the lads for next year if they decide to carry on into open age.  A big thanks from the club to all who have given loyal service over the years and especially to Managers Les & Tony. Runners up in what could be the last year for many, is still a nice way of finishing the season on a high. Well done boys.

Sunday 15th April

Under 12’s lost 2-0 away to Reddish Vulcans last game of the season, Under 14’s won away at High Lane to keep up the challenge for runners up spot beating the home side 7-2 with hattricks from Jessie and Joe, Under 18’s won 7-2 away to Spurley Hey this morning which means they take the runners up spot, Ryan W netting three. Well done boys great end to a good season!

Sunday 26th February Under 12's Were unlucky today losing 2-1 at home to Inter Macc in an evenly matched game, Under 14's Walkover 2-0 win awarded, Under 16's kept up the assault for honours with a comfortable 7-0 home win v Chinley, Under 18's ran out comfy winners at home to Queensgate winning 3-0

Saturday 25th February  Under 10's won both games away to New Mills 6-0 & 4-1, Under 11's dropped a big point today at home to Bramhall drawing 3-3, A mention to our Under 16's who took part in the clubs for young people 5-a-side tournament today and came away as area Champions and now go on to the nationals, well done lads.

Sunday 19th February Following on from yesterdays poor results, Under 13's dropped big points in the title run in loseing 3-0 at home to Hazel Grove, Under 14's away also dropped a big point only managing a 1-1 draw with Lisbon St Anthony's, Under 18's were at home in the County Cup Quarters to Urmston Meds and were knocked for six as the visitors eased into the Semis with a 6-0 win, Under 16's were the only other team this week with a win, beating Poynton 4-0 a Michael Adex hattrick saw the Young Bloods go top of thier division with a game still in hand over rivals Reddish Athletic in the race for title. (No pressure then boys) haha  :-)

Congratulations to the Under 16s team, who won the league by 2 points. Their last game was a 2-2 draw with Reddish on 1st April.
